Adax Announces
SS7 Power for Sun’s Netra 1800 Fault Tolerant Telecommunications
Server
Wide Area Communications
specialist Adax Europe today announced the availability of it’s
Common Channel signaling SS7 products for Sun’s Netra ft
(fault tolerant) 1800 servers. Adax’s SS7 PCI controller boards
combined with Sun’s ft, carrier grade Netra ft 1800 server
deliver increased bandwidth and minimal CPU utilisation for telecommunications
applications. In addition, Adax’s ANC-TCX daughter cards can
now be used to bring T1/E1 functionality straight to the Netra ft
1800.
Adax and Sun
provide sophisticated solutions for the telecommunications industry
that have proved successful for both network equipment providers
and telecommunications carriers. “Integrating our products
on Sun’s ft 1800 server strengthens Adax’s ability to
deliver high performance architectures to our customers world wide,“
said Robin Kent, Director of Operations for Adax Europe.
“We believe
Adax's products are well-suited for the Netra ft 1800 server. The
telecommunications industry demands a server that can offer carrier-grade
reliability and scalability, along with fault-tolerance for continuous
computing,” said James Hole, Product Marketing Manager for
Sun Microsystems. “Adax’s line of high availability
products easily integrate with the ft 1800 server. This allows network
service providers to develop and deploy services on a common SPARC/Solaris
Operating environment platform, including the ft 1800 which greatly
minimises time-to-market.”
