HSS and Adax
offer 3G Mobile Data Solutions
Adax and HSS,
two of the world's leading players in the telecoms infrastructure
market, are partnering at the 3GSM Conference for the first time.
The companies have developed a "one stop solution" to
provide OEMs implementing Third Generation (3G) networks a single
source for network infrastructure. The relationship will cut the
time to market for Third Generation mobile data networks.
The combination
of higher layer Mobile Data infrastructure software from HSS, the
#1 communications software company in India, and protocol controller
boards and software from Adax, a leading supplier of signaling
controllers, offers OEMs complete solutions for rapid deployment
of mobile data applications on traditional and new networks.
The HSS 3G Software
frameworks such as the Core Network and Radio Network Controller
transport signaling stacks drive the Adax ATM hardware. Similarly,
HSS’ Voice over Packet (VoP) Softswitch products, including
its Media Gateway Controller, Gatekeeper and SIP Servers, utilise
the Adax HDC and APC protocol controller boards. These off-the-shelf
solutions reduces OEMs time to market and enables the rapid deployment
of new services.
“This
partnership provides a rounded 3G infrastructure solution for developers,
which can crucially lower time to market for revenue-generating
products,” explained Robin Kent, Director of European operations
at Adax. “It has come about as a result of an established
business and technology relationship which is already providing
a solid foundation for VoP and IN applications around the world.”
“HSS finds
in Adax a complementary partner that provides the protocol controllers
and associated software to enable HSS to offer solutions for the
emerging 3G market place. The partnership will enable new generation
equipment vendors to reduce time to market through the HSS-ADAX
combined offerings.” said Manoranjan Mohapatra, Executive
Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Hughes Software Systems.
