Future-proof signaling gateway platforms for IP migration

With the release of this new product line, Adax have doubled the link density, increased the throughput and improved reliability of the gateways. The new products achieve high data transfer with no loss of packets resulting in a true gateway solution of carrier grade 99.999% reliability for IP-based SS7 signaling .

IP is becoming the choice for the high-speed, cost-effective telecommunications networks being built to meet the increasing demands of value-added functions and services. IP also reduces the cost of building the new infrastructure and its adoption has resulted in the need to interconnect these new packet based networks, with traditional SS7. This has created the necessity for flexible SS7 over IP gateway solutions.

The Adax family of gateways for SS7 and IP switching, routing, tunneling and backhaul provide a cost-effective and high performance solution to quickly and efficiently interconnect the various network types.

The signaling gateways enable the immediate IP migration of existing signaling points, regardless of network architecture and are fully interoperable with other gateways, Signal Transfer Points, databases and legacy PSTN switches. These factors enable network scalability and flexibility, which are important parts of designing fully compatible, next generation IP-based systems.

The four Adax gateways have a common and field upgradeable hardware platform. Adax provides a range of simple software upgrades, which provide a flexible migration path and the ability to interconnect with any type of SS7 or IP network element. This ensures a customers' equipment investment is a future-proof choice that will remain viable even as their network needs change.

In addition to the signaling gateways, Adax SIGTRAN software for M2PA, M3UA and SCTP/T are available separately for customers who need to IP enable other SS7 nodes in the network for connection to the Adax signaling gateways.
