Adax Communications Controllers

The Adax family of high performance communication controllers and protocol software provide the ideal foundation for fixed and mobile infrastructure. The controllers have multiple protocol support across SS7, ATM, SIGTRAN, X.25, Frame Relay, HDLC, LAPB/D and LAPV5. In addition they have the capability to run these protocols simultaneously for unparalleled flexibility in developing multi-protocol solutions.

For maximum platform choice, Adax protocol controllers are available across PCI, PCIe, Low-Profile PCIe, PCIe EM (ExpressModule), PMC and AMC form factors. All boards are standards based and offer a single software driver and consistent API across all formats.

Protocol Support includes:

• Narrowband Signaling - SS7 (64K and 2Mbs HSL), Frame Relay, LAPB/D/V5, X.25 and ATM AAL5 with the HDC board for PSTN, GSM and GPRS networks
  
• Broadband Signaling - ATM AAL2 and AAL5, IP over ATM, IP to ATM interworking, SSCOP/SSCF, SSSAR/SSTED and Frame Relay with the ATM board for Next Generation Networks
  
• IP Signaling - SCTP, M2PA, M2UA, M3UA and SUA SIGTRAN protocols with the HDC and ATM boards for IP Networks
  
• SS7/IP Interworking - the HDC and ATM boards provide the ability to interconnect all three via T1/E1, OC3/STM-1 and Gigabit Ethernet with optional IPSec support
