Packet Processing Subsystem for NGN, IMS & LTE
Telecom Applications
The transition of telecom's core infrastructure transport network
from deterministic circuit-based management to a packet-based architecture
is well underway and Next Generation Networks are required to simultaneously
deliver packet-based and circuit-based services. As well as assisting
with the transition to these new networks IP forms the basis for delivery
of the new services and the challenges in moving IP networks from a
'best effort' basis to carrier-grade reliability and responsiveness
are significant. Success will be dependent on the performance and reliability
of the underlying packet processing.
Adax is bringing its long expertise in signaling reliability and
performance to bear on this problem of carrier grade IP networks
and provides a
full array of packet processing products, protocol controllers, signaling
software and signaling gateways. The broad and flexible Adax product
line enables its customers to meet the myriad demands of data-plane
and control-plane services in the converging network marketplace
delivering a highly available, high performance carrier-grade transport.
The Adax Packet Processing Subsystem product set:
- AdaxPacketRunner (APR) – Intelligent
Networking Solution
The Adax PacketRunner is an intelligent ATCA carrier card for
I/O intensive telecom applications. It has 4 AMC slots to take
any
combination of
Adax or other industry standard AMC cards and the on-board Cavium
Octeon processor, memory and cache provide a high performance,
highly flexible
and scalable blade for IP transport, Carrier Ethernet (CE), QoS,
Security, Bandwidth Management, Packet Processing, I-TDM and
Signaling applications
in NGN, IMS, and LTE telecom networks.
-
Adax PacketAMC (PktAMC) – Front
end processing of the Layer 2 protocols
Adax’ long experience in signaling reliability and performance
is brought to bear with the hardware acceleration of the PktAMC
board for Intelligent Networking, Control Plane, Security,
QoS, and Wireless
applications, delivering a highly available, high performance
carrier-grade transport from the Edge to Core networks.
-
RemDevIO – Remote Device I/O Software
RemDevIO is an innovative software offering that delivers I/O
scalability while retaining direct access to host processing
power at a viable
price point. The client/server architecture of RemDevIO
allows an application to control and utilize remote devices
as if
they were
local to the
host processor
