front-end intelligent processing for Traffic and Bandwidth Management,
Security on all Wireless applications, delivering a highly-available,
high-performance, carrier-grade transport from the Edge to Core networks.
Example applications include Internet Offload Gateways, LTE EPC nodes
such as SGW, PGW, MME, PCRF and more.
With Cavium OCTEON II and OCTEON Plus processors, front-end processing
of the Layer 2 protocols can reside on the Pkt2-PCIe or Pkt-AMC, providing
hardware acceleration of the Layer 2 Switching and Routing, IPsec,
QoS, etc. Layer 3 Networking, High Availability and Management can
then run on the host processor, or in the case of ATCA, the Adax PacketRunner
(APR). With these products Adax meets today’s challenges of scalability,
cost effectiveness and high availability with solutions for LTE, 3G,
and Legacy networks and the interworking between them.
