The Adax family of high performance protocol controllers and associated software provide the ideal foundation for Next Generation Network infrastructure. The controllers have multiple protocol support across SS7, ATM, SIGTRAN, X.25, Frame Relay, HDLC, LAPB/D and LAPV5. In addition they have the capability to run these protocols simultaneously, for unparalleled flexibility in developing multi-protocol and interworking solutions.
The standards based Adax communications controllers have a single common core architecture making it easy to migrate between products. Consistent APIs between Adax software products and customer applications provide a software transparent hardware evolution path and a fast time to market. This protects initial customer investment and delivers an entirely future proof solution. The Adax protocol controllers deliver very high performance with the kernel based implementation of the Adax protocol software, by lowering CPU usage and leaving more power for the higher layers. The result is a highly reliable, high performing signaling solution.
For maximum platform choice Adax controllers
are available across PCI, PCI Express, cPCI, PMC, Low-Profile
PCI Express and AMC formats. The PMC
and AMC cards are AdvancedTCA
(ATCA) compatible (the AMC cards will be available
during 2006). Operating system support includes Solaris
SPARC and x86, Linux and VxWorks, and other platforms
such as HP-UX and IBM-AIX can be supported according
to customer requirements.
